About AKL Ferries

Independent site. Official timetable data. No PDFs.

Timetables last verified against official Auckland Transport, Fullers360, Island Direct and Sealink data in May 2026. We check and update timetables whenever schedules change.

🚢 What this site does

ferrytimetable.co.nz presents Auckland ferry timetables in a clean, mobile-friendly format. No PDFs, no digging around, no app download required. Just the times you need, fast.

We cover all Auckland ferry routes: Devonport, Bayswater, Birkenhead, Gulf Harbour, Half Moon Bay, Hobsonville Point, Northcote Point, Pine Harbour, Waiheke Island and West Harbour.

Features include a "next departure" calculator that shows you the next sailing from your selected route, full weekday, Saturday and Sunday timetables, a complete fares guide and a terminal-by-terminal guide with directions and parking info.

And yes, the site now shows live service status. When Auckland Transport's real-time feed reports a cancelled or delayed sailing, it's flagged right on the timetable, with a status banner at the top of each route page and a note of when it was last checked.

📋 Where the data comes from

All timetable, fare and route information is sourced from official schedules published by Auckland Transport, Fullers360, Island Direct and Sealink. We manually verify data against these sources and update the site whenever schedules change.

Auckland Transport AT HOP routes: Devonport, Bayswater, Birkenhead, Half Moon Bay, Hobsonville, Gulf Harbour, Northcote Point, Pine Harbour, West Harbour
Fullers360 Waiheke Island (Pier 11), Devonport-Waiheke direct, Rangitoto Island
Island Direct Waiheke Island (Pier 13)
Sealink Waiheke Island car ferry (Kennedy Point) from Half Moon Bay and Wynyard Quarter

🟢 Live status, and when to double-check

Live service status is pulled straight from Auckland Transport's official real-time feed and refreshes about once a minute. Cancellations and delays on Auckland Transport ferry services show up automatically, both as a banner on each route page and as a flag on the affected sailing in the timetable.

Two honest limits, because accuracy matters more than looking clever. The commercial Waiheke services (Fullers360 and Island Direct) and the Sealink car ferry don't all report through Auckland Transport's feed, and in serious weather the operator's own channel is always the final word. On a wild day on the Waitematā, it's worth a quick look at:

🔄 How often is the site updated?

Timetables are checked against official sources whenever Auckland Transport, Fullers360, Island Direct or Sealink publish schedule changes. This typically happens a few times a year. The site is also reviewed monthly to make sure nothing has drifted out of date.

Fares are updated whenever pricing changes are announced, usually in line with Auckland Transport's annual fare reviews.

Last full timetable verification: May 2026.

🙋 Who built this?

Tineke Bright, who builds and maintains ferrytimetable.co.nz, photographed in Auckland

Hi, I'm Tineke, though almost everyone calls me Tin. I started this site because checking the next sailing shouldn't mean opening a PDF or scrolling a council website while the wind tries to take your phone off the wharf.

I run Bright Digital, an Auckland digital performance marketing agency, and I've spent my career in the digital trade: content, UX, SEO and the craft of making websites clear and quick to use, for brands here and in the UK. This site is where I get to point all of that at something I actually use, several times a week.

It's independent and not affiliated with Auckland Transport, Fullers360, Island Direct or Sealink. If you spot something wrong or have an idea, I read every message: tineke@brightdigital.co.nz. (I also have a soft spot for pugs, so if there's one aboard the 8:15, we'll get along just fine.)
